What are the benefits of becoming an EmPOWERED Scholar?

In addition to receiving a $5,000 college scholarship, scholars become part of the EmPOWERED to Serve network of ambassadors and alumni. If I’m not selected, are there other opportunities to be involved with the American Heart Association?
